What you’ll be doing
As the Director, Third Party Risk Assessment, you will be joining CIBC’s Third Party Governance Office (TPGO) within the Cybersecurity, Third-Party and Resilience (CTPR) team. You will develop, implement and manage an enterprise-wide third party risk assessment approach; proactively monitor emerging third-party risk and serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the third party risk management program to stakeholders across the Bank.

How you’ll succeed

  • Risk assessment - Maintain for the Third Party Risk Assessment program, ensuring risk assessment data is accurate, complete and in compliance with program requirements; provide data-driven enhancement opportunities and automation to ensure an efficient process. review risk decisioning recommendations
  • Leadership and Managerial Accountabilities - Provide leadership and effective management of business unit staff to influence employee commitment to the organization, to the CTPR teams, and to their job. As a manager of people, this job must ensure all employees within the business unit comply with all applicable CIBC and LOB policies, standards, guidelines and controls
  • Cross-functional Relationships: Maintain internal relationships include CIBC executives and senior management with regular contact with, Procurement, Lines of Business, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and Legal and regional program stakeholders;
  • Maintaining relationships with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies - You will liaise with external suppliers and professional associations to understand industry leading risk assessment practices. You will also stay abreast of Regulatory developments and assess the impact to CIBC and recommending proactive measures to ensure Regulatory compliance is maintained
