Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director, Talent Acquisition is responsible for all talent acquisition activities, including reviewing workflows in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), executing sourcing strategies, building internal capacity in candidate assessment, and developing partnerships with educational institutions in collaboration with team members. The ideal candidate will have worked closely with senior executives to develop recruitment strategies and support. The position is national a scope and will encompass recruitment activities at the head office, distribution center and store management roles. This position reports to the Senior Director, Talent Management and will work closely with members of the HR and Communications team.
This role is part of our “Hybrid” work model: 2 days per week in office (or more depending on operational needs) and 3 days at home.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years’ experience managing a talent acquisition team within a large organization.
- Demonstrated experience in high-volume or retail recruitment.
- Data-driven mindset with strong reporting and analytical skills and ability to work with metrics, numbers and trends.
- You must have a good understanding and knowledge of ATS such as SmartRecruiters or Workday.
- Networking skills and proven experience in creating and implementing innovative strategies to promote the company in collaboration with the communications team.
- You must be fluently bilingual in English and French, both written and spoken. This position is national in scope.
- Good ability to edit and write documents in both languages, prepare presentations and reports with attention to detail.
- Experience in managing a departmental budget Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Additional Information
Responsibilities:
- Develop, coach and lead a team of four talent acquisition professionals to fill a wide range of head office, distribution center and store management positions. Develop and support a partnership-based approach with HR team members and various internal customer groups.
- Optimize the recruitment process in the ATS based on data and feedback from recruiters and candidates.
- Maintain a dashboard that gives recruitment and management teams complete visibility over recruitment. Analyze recruitment indicators to improve performance.
- Support the implementation of recruitment strategies including social media and strengthen managers’ assessment skills.
- Contribute to the redefinition of our employer brand.
- Develop successful partnerships with targeted educational institutions.
- Support DEI throughout talent acquisition process.
- Manage supplier relationships for talent acquisition tools and partners.
- Keep abreast of new developments.
