Description:

ABOUT THE JOB

This is a leadership role that requires a dynamic incumbent to oversee IT and Digital services within Contract Logistics, ensuring alignment with Group Technology’s strategy. You will be managing service delivery, maintaining roadmaps, handling escalations, supporting bids, and promoting collaboration between Technology and regional teams. You will also be anticipating customer growth, managing solutions, and leading project execution.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Overseeing the comprehensive demand, regional strategy, delivery, and ongoing support of IT and Digital services within Contract Logistics, in alignment with Group Technology’s strategic direction.
  • Ensures that business priorities align with IT capabilities, promoting cross-functional collaboration to drive value.
  • Be the strategic interface between Technology and regional Contract Logistics sales, commercial and operations teams, overseeing service delivery, maintaining internal roadmaps, handling escalations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting Contract Logistics bids from RFQ to ongoing operations and continuous improvement.
  • Anticipates future customer growth areas, manages the evolution of solution sets, and leverages future opportunities.
  • Be involved in customer-facing engagements to shape roadmaps and priorities and is responsible for IT solution architecture and design, incorporating engineering, operational, and customer-specific requirements for all new business opportunities.
  • Lead IT capabilities responsible for launch definitions and execution plans, including resourcing, budgets, scope definition, business scope design (BSD) delivery, success measurement, and lessons learned, ensuring successful project execution through senior leadership escalations.
  • Provide technical product information, detailed knowledge of DP World products and capabilities, support customer and internal workshops, modelling, pricing, presentations, and responses to Contract Logistics RFQs.
  • Hold sign-off responsibility for proposed customer IT solutions, costs, and implementation plans for new tenders and contract renewals.
  • Engage with regional logistics and commercial teams on delivery strategies for defined customer and business solutions, promote Group Technology standards, and define customer needs where customization is required.
  • Collaborate with the sales, commercial and operational teams to ensure adequate IT resource planning and hiring to support new business.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 15+ years in a MNC environment and contract logistics industry across multiple industries, including but not limited to supply chain delivery in fulfilment & warehousing, automotive, technology, industrial, consumer, retail, health care, high complexity manufacturing logistics.
  • Project management experience with proven success in the design, launch and operations of contract logistics solutions, with sound working knowledge of warehouse management systems.
  • Strong IT background required with broad exposure to IT solutions design and delivery of high end/high volume/complex solutions deployed on a continental / international basis.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience required including significant relationship management in dealings with internal & external customers.
  • Proven success in overseeing projects and strategic initiatives, with extensive financial management experience, including budget oversight.
  • Strong track record of risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 25% of the time across the globe to our operations and regional offices to conduct meetings and support new business operations.
