JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Management and leadership of the “Technology & Productivity Development (T&PD)” department with disciplinary and functional responsibility in a direct reporting line to the Vice President Supply Chain (SC)
  • Further development of the framework conditions for the Supply Chain strategy’s long-term implementation within T&PD and the entire Supply Chain
  • Strategic establishment and ongoing development of the department T&PD as well as management, coaching and further development of employees
  • Implementing and ensuring centralised governance - joint efficient alignment, regulation and control within the Supply Chain for defined topics such as lean management, production technology, productivity improvements, maintenance, training/qualification, tool manufacturing
  • Development and improvement of control instruments and SC internal audits
  • Further development and implementation of the Umdasch Excellence System for the Supply Chain
  • Budget planning and controlling for T&PD
  • Management of and support in strategic projects in the SC and Umdasch Group, e.g. strengthening our competitive position by expanding our global production and supply network
  • Active communication and ensuring the flow of information with all relevant stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

For this management position, we are looking for enthusiastic personalities with a high level of customer and market orientation and an entrepreneurial mindset. You have an understanding of leadership with a strong sense of self-reflection and the ability to identify and promote people’s strengths and potential. You also have the following qualifications:

  • Ideally you have a technical or business education (university/university of applied sciences) or experience in a similar position paired with technical or business understanding
  • Your training is complemented by international professional experience in the field of production / technology (preferably in Asia)
  • Management experience in an internationally operating industrial company (e.g. automotive industry)
  • Experience in the implementation of projects to improve productivity and increase competitiveness
  • The ability to initiate and implement change and motivate employees
  • Resilience, implementation strength and a strategic and solution-oriented way of working
  • High leadership and communication skills as well as lean thinking expertise
  • Good knowledge of English, German is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel
