As the Director of Transportation & Delivery, you will join our logistics Management Team, reporting directly to our COO. You will lead a team of 5, focusing on improving their efficiency and addressing key strategic topics like cost reduction and outbound shipping performance optimization. Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 5, enhancing their efficiency
- Oversee strategic and operational carrier activities for outbound shipping
- Develop and implement an end-to-end transportation strategy
- Serve as the internal contact for outbound-related systems and processes, driving improvements
- Monitor budgets and proactively control costs
- Manage and control external service providers, coordinating with internal stakeholders like management and warehouses
- Identify optimization opportunities, and independently derive and implement projects
- Select and integrate new partners into existing logistics processes, and negotiate prices and contracts
- Optimize national and international transport activities in collaboration with contracted service providers
