Reports to: Senior Director, Visual Merchandising
Location: North Vancouver, BC
Your opportunity at Arc’teryx:
As the Director, Visual Merchandising, you set the global Visual Merchandising (VM) strategy and direction for product presentation in our physical retail touch points, with an immediate focus on the North American market. You lead and mentor an energized team to translate the Arc’teryx product vision through VM strategies, ensuring results are globally consistent and provide an exceptional guest experience with the brand. You are the driver of direct to consumer VM concepts that support guest-centric story-telling, creates meaningful retail experiences, and increase productivity.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver or Portland office and is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Examining in-season strategies, product windows, and cross-functional collaboration touchpoints to map our guest journey and establish proactive opportunities for evolution
- Examining the strategy, evolution and execution of key visual merchandising tools and milestones (i.e. store fixtures, mannequins, hangars, lighting, etc.)
- Leading and mentoring the team to develop, evolve, and scale the visual merchandising tools, processes, principles and communications that support best in class retail experiences
- Overseeing the team to execute on brand and product vision for the season, ensuring standards are maintained throughout store environments, interiors and windows
- Overseeing a field team to open new stores in existing and new markets
- Collaborating with Merchandising team to build model/article capacity strategies that support assortment plans, financial targets and brand strategies
- Leading the development of formal and scalable field VM training for Commercial leadership teams, in-store VM leads and Wholesale partners
- Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain
