Description:

Position Overview
The Director, Workforce is responsible to oversee workforce optimization program, implementing a defined planning and coordination approach for events performed by in a region. This role will own the strategic deployment approach within workforce with a focus on quality, consistency, best practice implementation and skilled team member utilization. Additionally, this position will lead assigned Workforce Managers and Coordinators to drive a consistent approach to scheduling and communication between Production, Venues, and other supporting areas. The Director, Workforce will partner closely with other regional Workforce leaders for coordination to drive demand planning and cross-utilization of team members.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Operations, this role’s primary responsibility will be to execute an effective scheduling and reporting culture at Encore to advance the organization’s strategic objectives. The role is expected to support the Sr. Director of Operations.
Key Job Responsibilities:

Workforce Manager Team Leadership/Direction

  • Directly manage the assigned Workforce Manager and coordinators.
  • Ensure the demand planning processes are in place.
  • Oversee the event level variable labor cost management.
  • Analyze historical trends and future projections to create forecasting, scheduling, and staffing plan.
  • Provide the data, the analytics, and the resource management services that ensure staffing levels are appropriate to handle volumes of business.
  • Execute service and safety standards at or above Encore expectations.
  • Implement support and oversight for operational staffing guidelines.

Leadership & People Development

  • Execute organization structure that results in effective delivery of services to entire organization.
  • Manage staff at all levels to support growth of the business and accomplish the organizational goals.
  • Provide focused and continued coaching to develop the skills of all direct reports.
  • Partner with HR business partners to manage human resources activity including selection, performance management, salary administration, training and development and strategic human resources planning.
  • Implement and cultivate a team environment that focuses on service levels, customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and productivity.
  • Ensure team members are equipped with required tools, processes, and procedures to create an effective and efficient organization.

Systems, Reporting and KPIs

  • Partner with operational leaders and appropriate functions, including IT, to provide system enhancements, system training and identify areas for improved system usage for regions within assigned area.
  • Develop and implement approach to standardize and improve reporting, KPIs, and other deliverable information to the field to improve on all aspects of labor management and performance measurement so that better recommendations and decisions can be made.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ Experience in labor management and/or leadership position
  • Exceptional strategic planning and influence skills
  • Excellent people leadership, coaching and employee engagement skills
  • High proficiency with Encore systems and tools, including NWF 2.0, Ecliptic and Compass
  • Strong organizational leadership skills
  • Superior Analytical Acumen
  • Excel/Data Analysis Skills
  • Event Execution Experience 5 years
  • Regional Management /Multi Location Management preferred but not required

Office
Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
