Description:

As the Directorate Manager for Cardiac Services within the Specialist Surgical Services Group, Morriston Hospital, you will play a key role in supporting the Associate Service Group Director/Divisional Manager in delivering effective leadership and management to the service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Specialist Surgical Services Group as the Directorate Manager for Cardiac Services.
As the Directorate Manager you will be part of our Senior Management Team where you will play an important role in shaping the future of our Cardiac Services whilst striving to improve performance and patient experience.
The Cardiac Services Directorate covers cardiology (tertiary and secondary), cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery and cardiac & respiratory physiology.
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, driven manager to support and lead the Cardiac team into the next phase of our improvement work streams.
The post holder along with the Clinical Director and Deputy Head of Nursing will work as a triumvirate, accountable for organising the resources of the Directorate to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
If you have excellent leadership and operational management skills and have strong communication skills that allow you to effectively engage with key stakeholders then this might just be the role for you.
As the Directorate Manager, you would be accountable for several areas of performance including accountability for strategy, performance and finance.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
