Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
We are currently looking for a Disability Support Worker for ongoing work, to partner with female participant in her 20’s who is based in Rockhampton, QLD. Our participant has sustained a spinal cord injury which has resulted in limited mobility.
Due the complexity of the participant, only candidates with high-level care experience will be considered (Bowel care, catheter care, hoisting etc)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assistance with personal care - showering, dressing, hygiene
- Assistance with catheter management
- Manual handling/transfers
- Assistance with bowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation)
- Prompting Medication
- Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparation
- Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
- Community access + rehab appointments
