Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Dispatcher . Reporting to the Dispatch Supervisor and working alongside the Delivery Coordinators, this position is responsible for ticketing trucks for the delivery of ready-mix concrete. The Dispatcher plays an integral role in providing excellent service while maintaining an emphasis on product quality and costs. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience dispatching
- Must be willing to work flex hours including Saturdays.
- Able to maintain a high level of attention to detail while multitasking in a fast paced, team environment.
- Possess a high level of digital literacy, including intermediate knowledge of Teams and MS Office, as well as experience using web-based programs.
- Familiar with WorkSafe/Employment Standards/Ministry of Transport policies and regulations is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day dispatching of up to 80 ready mix trucks from 10 concrete plants
- Interact with drivers, operations team, and coworkers to satisfy requests for information and changes in shipping requirements
- Monitor all aspects of concrete delivery and supply
- Interact with all concrete division staff on dispatch related matters
- Provide leadership to ready mix truck drivers
