Description:
We are currently accepting resumes for a Dispatcher/ Logistics Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-growth business located in Statford, Ontario.
The Dispatcher/Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling and dispatch of drivers, equipment, freight, service, or emergency repairs rendered outside the place of business. He or she also assigns drivers to trucks and providing accurate directions to pickup and delivery facilities. The role includes providing support in a fast paced, high call volume office environment and will assist in completing operational and data entry tasks as necessary in a timely and accurate manner.
The ideal candidate will possess 3 - 5 years of transportation logistics experience, with a sound understanding of customs requirements and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of TMW is an asset.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma with a focus in Supply Chain Management, or applicable related years of work experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience as Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher in a fast-paced Transportation / Freight Forwarding environment.
- Dispatch team supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be fluent in border paperwork, hours of service, Log Book rules, ELD
- Experience using TMW, Border Connect programs is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with People Net
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the facility.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, schedule and dispatch drivers according to customer requirements
- Monitor driver routes to ensure timely delivery of freight
- Determine routing problems and resolve issues as soon as possible.
- Record mileage, and repairs
- Act as the liaison between company drivers and customers
- Communicate with drivers to ensure smooth delivery of freight in a timely manner
- Ensure that the drivers have all the necessary paperwork in order before dispatching to client sites, including alternate routes or special instructions for delivery.
- Complete cross-border paperwork for ACE, ACI, PAPS, and PARS
- Assign trips and movements in Truckmate (TMW)
- Identify opportunities with customers, generate leads, and develop quotes to win lanes.
- Deal with escalated customer inquiries as required.
- Outsource overflow freight.
- Oversee driver progress via People Net.
- Efficiently plan routes for local and highway drivers
- Ensure trailer list is up to date and accurate
- Flag possible issues to President
- Maintain and run dispatch reports
- Ensure daily communication with company drivers
- Provide onboarding training for new team members
- Working knowledge and adhering to all DOT Canada & USA rules and regulations
- Perform operational analysis and recommend modifications to increase effectiveness and efficiency
- Manage and execute sales calls and develop a sales pipeline for transportation accounts
