Description:

FULL TIME - 37 HOURS PER WEEK

Stockport Homes Group is a great place to work. We pride ourselves on building strong collaborative relationships locally, regionally and nationally. We are passionate about not only providing housing and building new homes in Stockport but helping to transform the lives of our customers. We aim to provide comfortable and affordable homes and engage customers and communities.
We now have an opportunity for a Disrepair Officer to join our new Client Team, where you will provide a fully supportive service to our in-house Legal Disrepair Surveyors, supporting the team on responding to disrepair claims and project managing fire damage and minor works projects.
We’re looking for an organised and meticulous to detail individual, with experience of working within a technical team. You will support the team to defend disrepair cases within a social housing environment, have awareness of Housing legislation including HHSRS, and you will be a team player with excellent communication skills, capable of developing strong relationships with a range of stakeholders. Resilient, assertive and consistent, you must be driven to deliver quality services.

You will be responsible for:

  • Collating and producing witness statement reports by interrogating IT systems to obtain related data.
  • Liaising with the Building Surveyors for scheduling appointments.
  • Being responsible for the collection and reporting of related disrepair data and performance.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Take responsibility for dealing with matters within your own authority and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Be able to work in an office environment and a good level of IT skills around Microsoft packages such as Word or Excel.
  • A great people person and able to communicate effectively.

The SHG “Be You” approach sums up our belief that everyone has the right to be who they are, and to be that person at work, in line with SHG’s Values. We’re always looking to improve diversity within our teams to enhance this culture and to be truly representative of the communities we work in.
This role will be on Stockport Homes Limited terms and conditions.
We understand that if you don’t meet every requirement, you may be hesitant to apply but we still want to hear from you and encourage you to submit an application detailing your experiences, achievements, and the value you can bring to our team.
We encourage you to apply early! We’ll be conducting interviews continuously while the role is open and may close the vacancy sooner if we find the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Collating and producing witness statement reports by interrogating IT systems to obtain related data.
  • Liaising with the Building Surveyors for scheduling appointments.
  • Being responsible for the collection and reporting of related disrepair data and performance
