UAF Center for Teaching & Learning
UAF’s Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is seeking a Distance Education Compliance Specialist to ensure the university remains compliant with state and federal regulations governing online learning and out-of-state educational activities. This position plays an important role in maintaining UAF’s participation in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) and serves as a key liaison with regulatory agencies, including SAN, ACPE, and SARA.
Working closely with CTL leadership, the Compliance Specialist will manage data and reporting requirements, and collaborate with university stakeholders to develop compliance strategies. A major focus of the role includes maintaining accurate professional licensure disclosures, ensuring transparency for students in programs leading to licensure or certification.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of analyzing complex policies and communicating them effectively to faculty, staff, and students. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to shape UAF’s approach to distance education compliance while contributing to the university’s ability to offer high-quality online programs across state lines. This position is based in Fairbanks, with flexible work options available.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
