DO YOU HAVE A PASSION FOR APIGEE AND WANT TO LEAD API INNOVATION IN A DYNAMIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENVIRONMENT?
We’re looking for a talented and experienced Lead Apigee Developer to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, and managing the API infrastructure.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of secure and scalable APIs using Apigee, specifically catering to the telecommunications industry.
- Define and enforce API design standards and best practices aligned with the clients’ telco domain expertise.
- Mentor and guide junior Apigee developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the team.
- Develop and implement Apigee policies for security (focusing on telco-specific needs like subscriber data privacy), authentication, throttling, and monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure teams to ensure proper configuration and integration of Apigee within the client’s telco network.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality code that adheres to telco industry standards.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Apigee features and trends, evaluating their applicability to clients’ telco use cases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Apigee issues specific to telco API integrations.
- Create and maintain Apigee documentation tailored for internal telco developers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on APIs.
- Proven experience with Apigee Edge, Apigee Hybrid or X platform (3+ years).
- Experience with API design principles and best practices (RESTful APIs, OpenAPI Specs).
- Solid understanding of security concepts like OAuth, OIDC, and/or telco-specific security protocols.
- Experience with API testing methodologies, including API security testing for telco APIs.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading and mentoring a development team (a plus).
Familiarity with telecom network architecture and protocols (a plus).
