JOB TITLE: Distribution Associate

QUALIFICATIONS *

  • Good interpersonal skills; must be capable of effectively interacting at all levels in the organization.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • 3+ years experience in inventory control and distribution
  • Detail oriented / analytical thinker with an eye on process optimization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage high stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds if relevant to job duties listed above.
  • Throughout extended periods, must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the work day.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and through written media.
  • Must be able to handle constructive criticism and guidance and offer the same to others in the department.
  • Ability to articulate job goals in a manner they’re completed effectively the first time.
  • At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
  • Proper employment documentation; reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • If necessary, ability to work 7 days per week and to be flexible with schedule.
  • Environmental Requirements and Exposure, depending on work location:
  • Exposure to fertilizer, dusts, odors, high heat, low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, and other environmental variables.

EDUCATION *

  • Minimum High School or G.E.D equivalent is required.

    Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Managers to help meet supply needs, quality and delivery requirements
  • Shipping and receiving duties: Inspect shipments for accuracy and completeness, receive/unpack items as necessary
  • Provide information on items in stock, location, quantities, and movement of inventory all upon request
  • Record, count, and stock items including full and cycle counts
  • Maintain spreadsheets and systems to input entries for all non-production related inventory transactions
  • Work directly with Manager to ensure facility is maintained in an organized and efficient manner
  • Pull and pack orders for distribution
  • Manage QA of order picking
  • Process order returns and wasted product
  • Assist with and actively participate in internal and external inventory and packaged goods audits
  • Fulfill all duties related to packaging finished stock and preparing orders for delivery in accordance with established regulations, labeling requirements, etc.
  • Comply with all rules and regulations as identified by the state
  • Work collectively and respectfully with other team members
