QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a retail warehouse
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a management role
  • Must possess a valid US Driver’s License
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift/carry a minimum of 50lbs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • English fluency
  • Ability to work flexible/extended hours, including evenings and/or weekends as needed
  • Strong understanding of business processes including retail operations, distribution and logistics operations, including inventory control and accounting practices

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the distribution center facility
  • Daily and weekly meetings with staff
  • Be able to perform all aspects of the DC operations including receiving, patio delivery calendar and website, warehouse pick system, and inbound/outbound freight
  • Efficiently maintain organizational flow, maintenance, along with processing accuracy
  • Researching and resolving warehouse-to-store, and vendor to warehouse issues
  • Effective performance evaluations for staff at annual intervals
  • Accountability of staff members (attendance, productivity, accuracy, safety)
  • Manage delivery fleet (maintenance and upkeep), truck PM’s, fuel cards, etc.
  • Ensure safety and security of facility to include warehouse operations, delivery operations, and eliminating the temptation of theft
  • Payroll/budget management for the DC facility
  • Maintain good relationships with internal warehouse staff, other warehouses, store management, personnel, and corporate office personnel
  • Innovative rewards and accountability tools must be developed, maintained, and updated to keep facility staff motivated and challenged
  • Develop staff members to take on more responsibility, encourage growth within the company, and increase employee retention
  • Effectively maintain seasonal and temporary help, as needed
