Job Description
Reporting to the DC Operations Lead - NIDC, you will communicate strategic decisions, lead employees in front-line positions, while defining and setting department objectives which are aligned with the company objectives.

Other key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the complexity of inbound operations, including varying product types, volumes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous improvement of end – to end processes of receiving and putting away inventory including preventing aged inventory.
  • Maintaining a healthy and safe environment for the team
  • Ensure proactive compliance with NZ MPI regulations including correct handling and inspection.
  • Development and implementation of value-adding initiatives
  • Support the Leadership and development of the inbound teams, providing coaching, support, and performance feedback.
  • Meeting safety and productivity targets, maintaining quality standards, and resolving operational issues promptly.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders and including DC leaders to ensure alignment of goals and strategies.

This role has an expectation of a moderate level of walking to be consistently present on the DC floor, therefore there is a degree of physical fitness required.
This role is Monday - Friday general business hours.

Qualifications

  • Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3+ years of Logistics/fulfillment experience as well as 3+ years from within the Retail/Consumer industry.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a distribution or logistics environment, specifically managing inbound or receiving processes.
  • A track record of fostering a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members.
  • You will have experience with budget ownership.
  • You will have experience working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, with cross functional teams.
  • You will show excellent commercial acumen and stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of New Zealand MPI regulations and compliance requirements.

Additional Information
This role will require you to work 40 hours per week. You will need to be able and willing to work overtime including some weekends in peak and have some flexibility to work different hours to cover leave of other operators.
