Serco Maritime Services have an exciting opportunity for a Diver to join the Marine Operations Support Team based in Portsmouth.
In this role, your main purpose will be to carry out diving operations to a maximum depth of 50 metres on compressed air using surface demand diving equipment on behalf of Serco Marine as directed by the Dive Superintendent/Supervisor. You will also be required to carry out stand by diver duties as directed by the Dive Supervisor.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Maintain personal fitness and annual HSE fitness to dive certificate.
Maintain his personal diving logbook up to date and ensure it is countersigned by the appropriate duty Dive Supervisor
Conduct himself in a safe and responsible manner and report all safety and other issues to his line manager/Supervisor
Maintain all personal issue diving equipment and PPE in good serviceable condition and inform the Dive Superintendent whenever any item requires maintenance or replacement.
Complete all maintenance requirements on equipment assigned to him by the Dive Superintendent iaw the appropriate maintenance schedule and submit a monthly maintenance report to the Dive Superintendent for all equipment for which he is responsible.
Assist with the mobilisation and demobilisation of diving plant and equipment to and from the dive site.
Assist the rigging and de-rigging of diving plant and equipment at the dive site and ensure that all daily dive equipment check off lists are completed and signed where appropriate for inclusion into the dive plan.
To maintain all required personal qualification certification in date.
To carry out general duties on behalf of the dive unit as directed by the Dive Superintendent or Dive Supervisor .
