Description:

The DEIB Consultant is responsible for conducting and facilitating needs assessments and providing the synthesis and analysis of those assessments for application in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. This position will support the development of long-term strategic thinking and its integration into policy and processes to advance DEIB across Covenant Health. Within this position, you will help to 1) identify potential DEIB training needed for HR team members and operational leaders; 2) audit, review, and make recommendations on postings and interview templates, process, and training materials to be more inclusive; 3) liaise with the various advisory bodies within Covenant Health to outline and develop strategies and success metrics; 4)work with internal teams to update the messaging on all external facing channels such as advertising, career fair, and social media posts; 5) enhance Covenant Health’s candidate experience from a DEIB perspective; 6)make recommendations on how to drive attraction and retention for diverse populations; 7) build cultural understanding, foster systemic change and make a measurable impact through the creation of programs, evaluation plans, tools and training, etc. 8) Collaborate with other areas of HR from a DEIB perspective (i.e Employee/Labour relations and Investigations). The ideal candidate for this role leverages their consultative skills including demonstrated ability and comfort with effective communication, especially in tough or controversial conversations. They have great coaching and stakeholder engagement skills with an ability to inspire and lead change within an organization. They are adept at creating innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. This position is non-unionized.
