Description:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Division Controller in our construction and contracting firm located in Irving, Texas. As a Division Controller, you will play a crucial role in supervising our accounting staff, preparing financial reports, and managing audits. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of accounting procedures and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the accounting staff to ensure adherence to GAAP, strong internal controls, and company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, with a focus on comparing budget vs actual results.
- Develop financial forecasts and collaborate with homebuilding functional leaders for review and preparation.
- Coordinate all internal and external audit requests with utmost efficiency.
- Facilitate the workflow between National Shared Services and Division operations.
- Evaluate the performance of staff and plan compensation actions based on their performance.
- Delegate work according to the abilities and skills of the staff.
- Identify internal and external training opportunities to ensure continuous detail oriented development of the staff.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet department needs.
- Foster an environment conducive to employee growth and continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards.
- Must have proficiency in 3M and Epicor software
- Experience with Accounting Software Systems is required
- Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is necessary
- Knowledge of DCAA regulations is mandatory
- Proficiency in accounting functions is required
- Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential
- Must have the ability to manage and prepare the annual budget
- Experience in auditing is necessary
