Weyerhaeuser’s West Distribution Business is seeking a highly motivated team player with a desire to be an innovative partner for the west distribution team! The Division Inventory Manager has a key leadership role in our Distribution organization. This role is responsible for leading a team that is accountable for product purchasing and inventory management in support of the area sales and profitability plan. The position requires strong leadership, engagement, and effective communication with key business stakeholders to ensure alignment of distribution services to business objectives. The successful candidate will be an innovative leader and bring great ideas to the table. We are seeking an intellectually curious advisor who focuses on outcomes and creatively solves business problems
The position reports directly to the West Division Manager for West Distribution. The person in this role will need to travel between 25-35% to the distribution centers.
The Weyerhaeuser hiring team will use the selection & interview process to determine skill and hired level, and the successful hire can be based out of one of our distribution sites in the (Albany, OR, Tacoma, WA, Santa Clarita, Fresno, Fontana, Stockton, Redding, CA, Boise, ID, Salt Lake City, UT, Phoenix, AZ) areas.

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Internet
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, negotiation skills, basic accounting and financial knowledge
  • 5-7 years of related experience
  • SAP knowledge helpfu

Education and Experience

  • Minimum HS Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of proven leadership in inventory management, logistics, or supply chain management
  • People management experienc

Responsibilities:

  • You’ll need to be one who not only embraces change but helps to drive it as well.
  • Key performance metrics will include Product health index, turns, dead stock, fill rates, forecasting, and reconciliation coordination with business leaders.
  • Also coordinates and plays a key leadership role working day to day with suppliers towards broad based solutions in improving effectiveness and profitability.
  • Leads resolution of product claims, coordinates with peers to effectively address shortages and overstock situations.
  • Runs reports on SAP. Reviews orders for accuracy and works with suppliers to expedite purchases as needed.

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $104,000 - $156,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 15% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours
