Description:

We are inviting applications for a Divisional Administrative in the School of Health Sciences to work in the Division of Population Health, Health Services Research and Primary Care based on the main University campus.
The primary aim of this role is to provide comprehensive and proactive administrative support for divisional staff and activities undertaken in the School.
This is a wide-ranging role and will involve considerable flexibility and the ability to prioritise tasks in order to deliver administrative support for academic staff and activities. The post holder’s role will be to ensure effective and professional liaison and communication with PS staff, academic staff, students and internal external suppliers, to facilitate the smooth running of day-to-day activities. The post holder may be required to supervise the work other members of PS staff.
The primary aim of these roles is to provide comprehensive and proactive administrative support for the activities of the Hub and associated staff. You will be a key administrative point of contact for the Hub and will ensure questions, issues and concerns are dealt with effectively. The role will involve a significant degree of external liaison and event organisation.
You will have good organisational skills and be able to prioritise work in a busy environment to meet deadlines; have excellent communication skills and be flexible and responsive to customer needs; be able to identify problems and resolve issues effectively; and have good computer skills, including proficient in Microsoft Office software. Experience in similar roles in higher education, such as supporting and coordinating multi-disciplinary networks, and experience of organising complex multi-day events and conferences is desirable.
The post holder will be assigned to the Division of Population Health, Health Services and Primary Care team, but may be required to support other areas, from time to time, across the School. There will be a considerable need to respond to change in the foreseeable future and the post holder will actively work to support senior managers in achieving this objective.
