Divisional Medical Director - Medicine, Cancer and Emergency Care

The Divisional Medical Director (DMD) will have responsibility for the strategic planning and the leadership and delivery of the divisions clinical services and performance, working with the Divisional Director of Operations (DDO) and the Divisional Director of Nursing (DDN). You will ensure that all staff are aligned with the Division’s and Trust’s objectives and are working in effective multidisciplinary /multi professional teams. You will ensure that services adopt a continuous quality improvement approach and comply with clinical audit standards to ensure the delivery of high quality care and performance standards are achieved throughout the division within the agreed budget. As the lead for the division, you have day to day line management responsibility of the DDO and DDN, however you are expected to work together to lead and manage the division as the Leadership Triumvirate.
The professional leadership of the DDO and DDN will sit with the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Nursing Officer respectively (such as appraisals, performance management, sickness, leave etc.
