Description:
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Divisional/Plant Controller based in Lowell, Massachusetts, within the Hi Tech Engineering industry. This role involves overseeing cost accounting, budgeting & forecasting, operational accounting, and financial reporting for the plant.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and conduct cost accounting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Develop and manage annual budget plans
- Handle operational accounting tasks to maintain financial stability of the plant
- Generate comprehensive financial reports for the plant
- Utilize financial analysis to guide business decisions
- Conduct auditing procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Maintain and manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Use Oracle software for various accounting functions
- Oversee standard cost accounting practices
- Conduct budgeting and forecasting activities for the plant.
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred
- Proven experience in a similar role within the Hi Tech Engineering industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting functions and standard cost accounting
- Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience in preparing an annual budget and auditing
- Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting techniques
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Proficiency in Oracle software
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
