REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as a Functional Solution Architect
  • Minimum 5 years D365 CE Functional Consulting/Solution Architecting experience
  • Broad knowledge of D365 CE functional capabilities and experience integrating with Power Apps.
  • Minimum of 6 full project lifecycles, from initial sales engagement through to go-live at 3 of which with a budget of over $1M
  • Experience working in one or more target industries – State or Local or County government or Not-for-Profit organizations
  • Task Management and Project Coordination Skills
  • Coaching and/or mentoring experience
  • Exceptional presentation skills for internal/external purposes
  • Ability to thrive in a virtual, collaborative organization and atmosphere
  • Effective time management skills and communication skills
  • Ability to listen and effectively communicate orally and in writing with clients and colleagues at different levels of the organization

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The DOA Functional Architect will be responsible for all Assessor and KCIT technical deliverables associated with designing, configuring, testing, and supporting the complete Dynamics CE environment. The person will oversee the D365 CE applications as well as PowerApps migration, from a functional perspective. In addition, the person would be collaborating with the ISG solution advisory team, and/or KC IT SMEs to ensure any proposed solution would adhere to KCIT priorities. These responsibilities will be carried out in collaboration and coordination with other ISG, King County, and DOA members of the technical team.
The candidate should possess exceptional techno-functional skills along with interpersonal skills that would allow the candidate to engage King County project owners and deliver on tight and changing timelines, while mentoring or overseeing a large functional team from the DDI vendor.
Location: Remote Work
Work Hours: 8am to 5pm - US Pacific Time

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Document DOA D365 CE & PowerApps solution environment specifications and own the delivery of the solution
  • Engage the project team and KCIT & DOA SMEs to validate solution architecture and add details as needed for D365 PowerApps solutions
  • Work with the Solution Architect to better understand the technical roadmap that outlines the DOA and KCIT PTAS software portfolio at present and in the future
  • Work with the Assessor Product Owner to understand the DOA business processes and priorities for the project
  • Collaborate with the ISG Solution Architect to understand the KC IT technical priorities for the project
  • As a solution leader, own the architecture of enterprise-level business solutions and lead other team members in design, implementation, and quality assurance
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations of the proposed solution
  • At the delivery stage, work with implementation teams to ensure that the overall solution architecture is sound, and the proposed design will meet the requirements and expectations set during the selection process
  • Drive project initiatives by collaborating with the rest of the delivery team to ensure that solution development milestones and deadlines are met
  • Own the Solution design documentation deliverables and ensure consistency and quality
  • Support client testing and QA activities, including automated testing
  • Conduct design and peer reviews including individual & team unit testing
  • Work with the project team to review problems, define and test solutions
  • Exercise leadership through superior solution and domain knowledge
  • Participation in the preparation of solution design documentation and creating implementation instructions to support application deployments, collaborating with client IT team and Advisory partner leadership
  • Evaluate and introduce new tools and techniques to the development team
