REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience as a technical architect or senior applications developer solving complex solutions in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams
  • 8 or more years of experience managing teams of developers of between 10-30 on multiple development projects, timelines and engagements
  • Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools such as Azure DevOps, Team Foundation Server or equivalent, Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Microsoft Office tools
  • Highly skilled as a developer with strong proficiency in Canvas Apps, Model-Driven apps, and utilizing Azure and Azure Data Lake, where applicable, ReactJS and custom PCFs
  • Must be able to assess technical gaps in requirement specifications
  • Knowledge of data management, data architecture, integration, governance, processing. (Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse)
  • Participate in production changes that may occur after 5:00p.m. or on weekends
  • Develop and maintain code artifacts, technical communications, action plans, agendas, minutes, and correspondence
  • The ideal candidate would have experience in multi-year, multimillion dollar government (city, county, state, or federal) projects using Dynamics 365 F&O

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Technical Architect will be responsible for all DOA and KCIT technical designing, developing, implementing, testing, and supporting the complete PTAS DOA environment.
The person will own the development of applications across PTAS DOA, PowerApps environment, including Canvas Apps and Model-Driven apps, and utilizing Azure and Azure Data Lake, where applicable. ReactJS and custom PCF’s will be used for DOA’s D365 F&O and CRM solution. Dataverse and solution management are also elements. In addition, the person would be collaborating with the ISG solution advisory team, specifically the PTAS DOA Lead, and ensure any proposed solution would adhere to KCIT priorities. These responsibilities will be carried out in collaboration and coordination with other ISG and King County members of the technical team.
The candidate should possess exceptional technical skills along with interpersonal skills that would allow the candidate to engage stakeholders and deliver on tight and changing timelines/goals, while mentoring or overseeing a large technical team from the DDI vendor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ownership of the DOA’s solution, including successfully integrating Power Apps solutions with third party solutions using Canvas Apps, Model-Driven apps, and utilizing Azure and Azure Data Lake, where applicable, ReactJS and custom PCF’s
  • Responsible for ensuring all integrations of applications in the DOA solution can send/receive data via service bus to Treasury
  • Manage a team of developers (between 10 and 30 team members) to ensure timely development task completion
  • Ensure all development items are properly documented, tested, and deployed
  • Ensure all applications that require custom interfaces or integrations are fully traceable both from a data perspective and also a development perspective
  • Coordinate with the PTAS Technical Lead for DOA to ensure clear communication and timely updates and escalations as needed
  • Support code reviews, commitments, and deployments to lower environments via Azure DevOps and Microsoft Lifecycle Services
  • Produce technical documentation details, including schema definition, data types, message format, transport mechanism, and other information for interface points between the DOA processes and systems, and the processes and systems of DOA and KC IT in collaboration with the Assessor Product Manager
  • Reviews vendor code changes for accuracy, understanding and compliance
  • Leads software integration and maintains technical documentation
