YOUR NEW ROLE

Centurion Transport’s Dock department is currently seeking an experienced forklift operator to join full-time as a Freight Officer. This is a opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking for a permanent, full-time position where they can contribute to the smooth running of our operations and make a real impact on our business. You will be responsible for loading, unloading and restraining cold fridge/freezer freight. You will be an essential part of our team, working in a fast-paced environment.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating an electric forklift to load and unload cold fridge/freezer freight in a safe and timely manner
• Ensuring all scanning is accurate and complete for freight in the received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions
• Guaranteeing freight is loaded in time to meet scheduled vehicle departure times
• Preparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch
• Report any discrepancies to the relevant assigned personnel

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

• Current Forklift Licence (LF) with minimum 2 years experience
• Preferred experience with cold freight
• Previously worked night shift and are able to work autonomously
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills and ability to take direction from management
• Good reliability and punctuality at work
• Able to comply with company policies, procedures, and RIPPA values
