Responsibilities:

The Chair of Management of Renewable Energies at the Institute for Economy and the Environment (IWÖ-HSG, Prof. Rolf Wüstenhagen) at the University of St.Gallen (HSG) is looking for three new doctoral students. This is a unique opportunity for early-stage researchers who are passionate about renewable energy and managing climate solutions. The positions will allow successful applicants to become part of newly funded research projects with Swiss and European partners from industry and academia.
The Chair of Management of Renewable Energies at HSG has established a strong track-record for combining scientific insight with real-world impact. We apply a mix of qualitative and quantitative empirical research methods to understand the decision-making of energy consumers, investors and other stakeholders, thereby contributing to the design of successful business models and policy instruments for the diffusion of low-carbon innovation.

We are looking for candidates interested in one or several of the following topics:

  • Citizen co-investment and social acceptance of renewable energy
  • Convergence of electric mobility, renewable energy and storage
