Description:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, this position provides a broad range of routine administrative and general support duties for one or more areas of the Collateral Vault Department. These duties include, but are not limited to Reporting, Data Entry, Operations Compliance, Records Research, Collateral Analysis, and all loan servicing related responsibilities.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree completed form an accredited university or college.

EXPERIENCE

At least two years of related experience.

KSA’S (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)

  • Intermediate loan and collateral knowledge
  • Ability to follow security protocols precisely and accurately
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Ability to prioritize well and be flexible in a fast-paced environment with changing demands.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Detail oriented with analytical aptitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time

Responsibilities:

  • Custodian of all legal and administrative documents for Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, Popular Bank and Popular Auto approved loans that are safeguarded in the Vault.
  • Reviews appropriate documentation files and records for loans to determine compliance with established bank and legal guidelines. Interacts with legal and account officers to clarify unfamiliar or questionable loan documentation requests.
  • Respond to internal customer requests or inquiries and resolve complaints or problems promptly. Refer queries to the corresponding units and carry out the necessary follow-up with the clients and/or the personnel involved.
  • Completes, reviews, and analyzes relationship officers’ requests. Assists in all collateral files inventory responsibilities.
  • Reviews collateral file information in all Vault related applications. Responsible for monitoring the movement of all incoming and outgoing loan documentation files.
  • Ensures the proper security of all vault assets in custody.
  • Responsible for the proper receiving, handling, managing and record keeping of all documents received at the Collateral Vault department for all operations.
  • Responsible for properly and adequately documenting and registering loan documents in all necessary applications.
