Description:

Work in Kuwait is contingent upon the applicant’s ability to obtain a work permit from the State of Kuwait, which is requested on the applicant’s behalf by their employer. Effective January 1, 2021, the Kuwait Public Authority of Manpower issued new work permit regulations, informing contractors that it will not issue a work permit to any individual who is fifty-nine (59) years or older and holds a high school grade certificate or less. A bachelor’s degree or higher is required for all candidates fifty-nine (59) years or older. See Administrative Decision No. (520) of 2020 AD – Amendment to the Administrative Decision No. (552) of 2018 on Issuing the Work Permit Regulations. Candidates with a current Visa 18 (residency visa) are excluded from the education requirement.
Purpose: Under general direction of Quality Manager and/or Lead Auditor, the Document Control Specialist manages, stores and tracks records and documents that are system records created for the contract. Accountable for reviewing changed/revised documents to ensure that changes and the current revision status of documents are identified and effectively disseminated and communicated to all affected Amentum employees.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of documented work experience is required.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must have good working knowledges of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills along with professional demeanor that extends to all levels of the organization to include the US Government personnel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to coordinate and collaborate with supervision to ensure processes are aligned.
  • Must be a self-starter and capable of working independently without direct supervision.
  • Possess qualities and the ability to articulate and effectively communicate directions to others.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partners and works with process owners to develop, document and revise technical work processes (SOP’s, WI, Forms, and Process Maps).
  • Ensures documents are compliant with corporate regulations, company SOP’s, and directives.
  • Reviews documents in a timely manner for adequacy prior to issuing.
  • Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology, edits, standardizes, and or make changes to material prepared by other writers.
  • Reviews materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, and content.
  • Archives inactive records and documents.
  • Provides support in the operation of the organization’s ISO 9001 program.
  • Enhances communication by facilitating team meetings.
  • Conducts document revision training as required.
  • Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the Amentum Quality Management System.
  • Identify and advise leadership regarding problems within technical areas as required.
  • Ensure Supervisor/Manager is aware of critical issues and able to make appropriate strategic decisions based on information supplied.
  • Cross trains within the quality auditing program when required to ensure maximum flexibility and possession of technical skills.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
