Description:

Balmoral, a division of Balmoral Group, provides surface and subsurface buoyancy, insulation and elastomer products and services to the global energy, defence, subsea communications and oceanographic industries.
As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing the organisation, maintenance, and distribution of project-related documentation while adhering to industry standards and company procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Minimum of ‘o’ grade/Standard grade in English, maths and administration (or secretarial studies)

Desirable:

  • Preferred Higher grade in Administration (or secretarial studies)

EXPERIENCE

Required: Previous experience in document control
Skills

Required:

  • Knowledge of Document Control functions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be an organised individual.
  • Must have well developed interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Must be computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be willing to accept responsibility when delegated.
  • Must be highly motivated and keen to develop.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce Master Document Registers (Internal and Client).
  • Maintain and update the document management systems, ensuring all documents are correctly documented and version controlled.
  • Distribute documentation to relevant stakeholders and ensure timely communication of updates.
  • Assist in the creation, revision and maintenance of project documentation.
  • Ensure all documents are up-to-date and in compliance with company procedures.
  • Ensure Client/Project documentation requirements are implemented and understood.
  • Support the filing and archiving of documents in both electronic and physical formats, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Conduct regular audits of documents to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Provide support with various administrative tasks as and when required.
