Are you passionate about dogs and their well-being? One Garden Brighton is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dog Grooming Assistant to join our vibrant team on a temporary maternity cover basis. As part of a bustling tourist destination, you’ll be responsible for ensuring top-quality grooming services at our Plumpton College parlour, providing exceptional care for our four-legged clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver professional grooming services for dogs, including baths, nail clipping, and ear cleaning.
• Assist two stylists in preparing up to 10 dogs a day for styling.
• Ensure compliance with animal welfare legislation and uphold safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the parlour and reception area.
• Provide outstanding customer service and consultations to meet client expectations.
• Perform reception duties, including managing client records and grooming health checks.
• Work proactively with colleagues to promote One Garden Brighton’s brand and values.

What We’re Looking For:

• Level 2 Dog Grooming qualification or actively working towards it.
• Passion for dogs and commitment to their health and welfare.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as required.
