Description:
We are currently on the look out for a team member to join our daycare facility as a Doggy Daycare Attendant. For the right applicants, this can move into a dog training role too!
Of course we get to play with cute dogs all day but this is not what it’s all about. Our focus as a daycare is to provide daily supervision, in a fun but controlled low arousal setting and also maintaining the facilities cleanliness.
Daily tasks include:
- Administration aspects such as checking dogs in and out of the facility and taking payments all with a high level of customer service.
- Handling enquiries and bookings (phone, social media, email, etc).
- Supervision of dog groups and maintaining safe interactions.
- Taking photos and videos of daily interactions and exposure sessions and posting to our social media accounts.
- Daily cleaning procedures to maintain our facility.
About you:
- Able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Follow instructions and have strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Show basic understanding of dog body language.
- Have dog handling experience.
- Have a love of dogs and interest in dog behaviour.
- A Certificate III in Dog Behaviour and Training or equivalent is beneficial but not essential.
You must be willing and motivated to learn and be willing to complete your own personal development.
This is a casual position of approximately 5- 20 hours to begin (option to increase for the right candidate), with shifts between 6.15am-7pm Monday to Friday.
