We are recruiting for Domestic Assistant to join our team at Oakleaves Care Centre. This is part time 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities of the Role
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness of the service and Laundry causing minimal disruption to our services users and their care;
- Practice safe systems of work eg movining & handling by assesing the risk and following best practice
- Use a variety of cleaning products paying particular attention to COSHH regulated products;
- Understand the cleaning requirements for different surfaces and equipment
- Communicate and engage effectively with our service users, their families and colleagues, reflecting good interpersonal and working relationship skills at all times
- Be Health and Safety aware, to ensure the safety of our services users and colleagues. Understand your responsibilities under the Health & safety and fire safety Acts
- Ensure the safe and tidy storage of supplies
- Report any faults with equipment to include requirement for maintenance/replacement
General information
- Participate in induction programme and in-service training.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings if required
- Adhere to and ensure safe practice according to Health and Safety policies.
- Maintain client confidentiality, unwarranted breaches could result in disciplinary action
- Be fully aware of the fire policy and the awareness of food hygiene regulations
- Ensure you are familiar with all current policies and procedures and understand your duty to comply and implement them when necessary
