15 hours per week at Blaen-Y-Pant House

We are committed to providing quality person centred care for people living with both physical and mental health issues; we provide accommodation, care and support over three sites.

  • Parklands Residential Home, Malpas for up to 26 people.
  • Blaen Y Pant House, Malpas for up to 32 people.
  • Spring Gardens, Pillgwenlly for up to 32 people.

Do you pride yourself in preparing nutritious meals/snacks for others?
We are looking for highly motivated, flexible and enthusiastic individual to join our team.
Within Newport City Council Residential Homes our residents are at the heart of everything we do, your duties will include preparing and serving tea/supper to our residents and ensuring the kitchen is kept clean at all times.
The applicant will be required to have relevant experience of working in a kitchen environment and hold a Food Hygiene Certificate. You will have a sound knowledge of health and safety issues and be able to demonstrate a good level of basic skills.
You may or may not have worked in a care home before but it is important to us that you are a caring, positive person with a strong attention to detail.
You will receive excellent managerial support with training and development opportunities.
