VMCH are a Catholic not-for-profit organisation, providing services including affordable housing, residential aged care, retirement living, community and disability services and specialist education to 7,600 people across Victoria. We operate in over 50 locations, have 2,600+ employees and over 600 volunteers maintaining our 24/7 service to vulnerable people across Victoria.

We are looking for reliable, caring and compassionate Domestic Services Assistants (DSA) to bring joy to our resident’s day.

Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team, you will:

• Carry out a range of domestic tasks to maintain hygiene standards in a home-like environment
• Cleaning residents’ rooms including ensuites, furniture and equipment, as appropriate, and communal and administrative areas
• Ensure common living areas, hallways and all other areas of the facility (including front entrance courtyards, verandas) are maintained in a clean and tidy and safe condition
• Ensure the safe storage, security and labelling of appropriate cleaning materials in line with the MSDS, and in consultation with the Residential Services Manager, while being aware of the environmental requirements of cleaning products and their disposal
• Replenishing cleaning liquids and materials whilst observing safety procedures
• Report stock shortages, breakages, building, equipment or furnishing defects promptly to the Residential Services Manager

This opportunity is perfect for someone who is looking for flexible working hours – we are able to offer a minimum of 3 days per week for morning, afternoon and evening shifts over a 7-day roster.
