Description:
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated domiciliary care assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities, fostering a positive environment for our service users.
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience as a domiciliary care assistant is essential.
- A valid Enhanced DBS is required.
- Current mandatory training is required.
- The applicant must be the holder of or be working towards the Care Certificate.
- Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with service users and team members.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of service users is essential.
- A valid UK driving licence is essential along with the use of a car.
- Two UK professional references
- Familiarity with IT systems will be beneficial for record keeping and communication tasks.
- A Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) (Switch) will be available to the right candidate following a probationary period.

Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Assist service users with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support service users in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each service user’s needs, ensuring their health and safety.
- Assist service users generally with light housework and meal preparation.
- Where appropriate, assist in giving medication (following training).
- Moving and handling service users.
- Communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on their progress.
- Maintain accurate records of service user care and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accurate.
