Description:
ARE YOU THE NEXT DONATION CENTER ATTENDANT?
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year working experience in a customer service position required.
- Must have reliable transportation, a current Texas driver’s license, and be willing to transport donated goods in personal vehicle.
- Ability to communicate clearly with donors in English.
- Adheres to policies related to boundaries with youth.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE?
- Accept donated goods from donors in a friendly and courteous manner and provide receipt.
- Receive and properly handle donations from individuals, businesses, or organizations, ensuring all items are accounted for and logged.
- Coordinate in-kind donation pick-ups with the In-kind Specialist from donors or warehouses.
- Be available for daily donation drop-offs from the community.
- Ensure donors receive confirmation of their scheduled pickup, along with any necessary information regarding tax receipts or further actions.
- Ensure that the Donation Center and surrounding premises are kept clean and free of safety hazards, and that safety procedures are understood and followed by all employees.
- Maintain a neat and clean donation area, interior and exterior.
- Properly load and unload donation items from staff and donor vehicles.
- Assist with all general cleaning functions of donation center such as sweeping, mopping & trash removal, communicating with the facilities team for dumpster needs, etc.
- Remove all unwanted or unfit donations from the donation center
- Be a team player by assisting case aides with donation pickups and follow the direction of your supervisor to meet program needs.
- Work collaboratively with the In-Kind Specialist to ensure donation center needs are met.
- Sort donations according to donation center guidelines and keep an organized inventory list.
- Document all donation pickups, ensuring that details such as donor information, items collected, and pickup times are logged in the system for inventory and reporting purposes.
