DONOR ENGAGEMENT OFFICER, Stewardship and Donor Relations, working in close collaboration with fundraisers, staff in the Office of the President, the Office of the Corporation, and other institute officers, will craft and convey for approval acknowledgements for the Institute’s most generous donors and volunteers; develop new and improve existing systems to assure coordinated information sharing with colleagues and stakeholders and appropriate and timely application for acknowledgements; partner with colleagues in the Office of Donor Engagement & Stewardship, the Office of Individual Giving, and the Office of Philanthropic Partnerships, etc. to integrate strategic stewardship messaging in communications from senior Institute officers to donors.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; a minimum of three years of experience in stewardship or donor relations, communications or related field; experience with content writing, research, managing multiple projects and competing priorities and improving processes; knowledge about stewardship programs in higher education; robust initiative, communication, motivation, and organizational skills; ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and to analyze, synthesize, and present information clearly; advanced interpersonal skills, to collaborate with individuals at all levels; ability to solicit information across departments and serve as an ambassador; discretion with confidential information; adaptability and able to function independently and within a team-oriented environment; proven ability to influence others and move toward a common vision; highly proficient with computer systems, complex databases (iModules & Advance preferred), Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with Adobe creative suite (specifically InDesign to layout reports); an enthusiastic commitment to MIT’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) priorities.
