ROLE CONTEXT:

Worley Consulting, the independent consulting business line of Worley, has approximately 2,000 people in 25 countries around the globe, integrating strategy, management, and technical consulting expertise. We provide solutions for clients in the Energy, Chemical and Resource sectors including Power, Renewables, Water, Hydrocarbons, Minerals & Metals, Chemicals, and Infrastructure industries.
We continue to push boundaries and extend our capabilities globally. We are a company that prides itself on providing safe and high-quality services that exceed our customer’s expectations. Our aim is to recruit, develop, and most importantly, retain the people who share our vision and strategy.
The regional (EMEA) Worley Consulting team is expanding again this year, building on a successful strategy update and targeted hiring in the past year. People with non-traditional backgrounds are welcome but must have a consulting mindset to support business growth into new energy-related areas and to help existing clients navigate the energy transition. This role concentrates on supporting upstream, midstream and LNG clients focussing on integrated gas, decarbonisation and high-end consulting support.
Ideally, you will be based in The Netherlands or the UK (but other locations are considered).
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the world through your work? Do you want to join a team of experts who are helping the energy sector transform and thrive in the face of unprecedented challenges? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our consulting role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Our clients in the energy sector are experiencing a once-in-a-generation challenge at the core of their business. They need to design, operate, and maintain their plants in a sustainable and efficient way. They need to manage their capital projects and investments wisely and adapt to the changing market and regulatory environment. And they need to do all this while ensuring the safety, reliability, and profitability of their operations.
We help them achieve these goals by providing innovative and tailored solutions that unlock value from their assets, capabilities, and projects.
We leverage our deep industry knowledge and global network of experts to deliver results that matter.
As a consultant, you will work on intriguing and diverse assignments in the energy sector. You will advise organizations on their capital investment choices regarding design, operations, and maintenance of their production facilities. You will build and nurture long-term client relationships and be recognized as a trusted advisor. You will also learn from some of the brightest minds in the industry and grow your skills and career.

In your role as Senior/Principal Consultant, you will bring your expertise and experience to support our clients on their strategic, operational, and technical questions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing clients’ and studies engagements such as benchmarking, quantitative analyses, gap and risk assessment.
  • Developing engagement frameworks, conducting workshop sessions, and supporting multi-discipline engineering teams.
  • Monitoring and improving intellectual capital content, e.g., work processes and tools, approaches, and methodologies.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior colleagues in the team.
  • Assisting in ‘selling’ advisory engagements of various sizes, contributing to marketing and content creation (e.g., industry/case insights, publications, perspectives, thought leadership articles, webinars, participating in conferences, etc.).
  • Identifying and directing new opportunities by establishing and maintaining your network of client relationships, deriving significant consulting engagements and pull-through opportunities for the organization.

IDEALLY YOU WILL ALSO BRING SOME OF THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE TO THIS ROLE:

  • Operational experience in governance/management positions or as an advisor, consultant with a good understanding of site operations, maintenance, and performance.
  • Understanding of the due diligence process (asset acquisition, merger, etc.) and the ability to perform assessments and technical audits on properties, plants, and equipment.
  • Exposure to multiple capital project phases such as pre-feasibility, engineering, commissioning, and start-up operations.
