The DPI Software/Web Development Apprentice will have the opportunity to learn & grow in a professional environment while contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of our primary Content Management Systems (CMS) across all UL Solutions brands.
You’ll work closely with our experienced developers to gain hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end web development, with a primary focus on the Drupal framework. You’ll also have the chance to explore basic DevOps practices.

This is a 12-month program and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week.

  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing our Drupal-based CMS
  • Develop & implement new features for our websites
  • Collaborate with team members on front-end and back-end tasks
  • Participate in code reviews and learn best practices
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve website issues
  • Gain exposure to basic DevOps processes
  • Perform other duties as directed
  • Successful completion of the DPI career development program
  • Understanding how HTML/web browsers work
  • Understanding in modern language development & a willingness to learn
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Drupal or PHP experience preferred
  • JavaScript experience preferred
