Responsibilities:
- Develop Detailed Drawings: Create comprehensive drawings and plans for steel structures using CAD software like AutoCAD, Solidworks, Tekla, or Revit.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of plans.
- Verify Technical Documents: Check and verify design calculations, specifications, and other technical documents to ensure they meet industry standards and regulations.
- Communicate with Clients and Suppliers: Resolve technical issues and ensure timely completion of projects by communicating effectively with clients and suppliers.
- Review and Approve Projects: Participate in the review and approval process for projects, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
What you will need:
- Educational Background: A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Certification: Certification in steel detailing or structural drafting is preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD Software: Strong skills in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, or Revit. Experience with Solidworks is a definite asset.
- Knowledge of Building Codes: A solid understanding of building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
