We are looking for you – A graduate (or nearly graduated) Architect, technician or engineer who wishes to focus on the development of 2D and 3D CAD models as part of our Product Evolution team.
The Product Evolution team is a multi-disciplinary design-focused unit tasked with developing the next generation of Sustainable Prefabricated Buildings designed for Rapid Automated Manufacture and Assembly. The Product Evolution team is tasked with “inventing” building solutions suitable for physical prototyping and mass manufacturing in our own factory.
We develop new building typology designs, design new building components and product lines. We pre-design layouts for buildings and projects that inform our teams working on generative configuration tools that leverage our in-house software developers’ skills to develop state-of-the-art Parametric design tools. Our team works at the start of this process defining the “what” rather than the “how” and we are looking for an ambitious junior team member who wishes to work alongside us in preparing this work in a digital drafting format that can be digested by the downstream development teams.

In this role, you will:

• work alongside highly experienced professionals such as Architects, Structural Engineers and timber design specialists
• be capable and happy to work independently in support of a close-knit team developing CAD models. It is anticipated that these models will be developed either for or by generative modelling tools such as Rhino/Grasshopper, Autodesk Inventor/Dynamo or BlenderBIM.
• be involved in the design of different building typologies (initially Multi-family residential)
• draft out building designs and component designs in proprietary software suites (Autodesk, McNeal, Blender etc.)
• work alongside a diverse range of construction professionals.
• deliver completed drawings and models and generative modelling deliverables (scripts, visual programming processes etc.)
• provide visuals suitable for digital presentations. 2D renders and 3D views, animations etc.
• have additional skills in Photoshop, Sketchup, PowerPoint and similar presentation focused tools would be seen as beneficial
