JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Draftsman to join our team specializing in joinery works. The ideal candidate will create precise and detailed technical drawings, layouts, and designs for custom furniture, cabinetry, and other woodwork products. The role requires proficiency in CAD software, strong knowledge of joinery techniques, and the ability to collaborate with designers, production teams, and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Education: Diploma or degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a draftsman in joinery or woodworking.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks).
• Familiarity with joinery production techniques, materials, and machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and designs.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in 3D modeling and rendering software (e.g., Revit, 3ds Max).
• Prior exposure to bespoke or high-end joinery projects.
• Understanding of CNC programming for woodworking machinery.

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, 2D and 3D designs, and layouts for joinery projects, including furniture, cabinetry, and bespoke woodwork.
• Interpret and analyze architectural and interior design plans to develop technical drawings.
• Collaborate with project managers, production teams, and clients to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client specifications, and building codes.
• Provide material specifications and accurate measurements for production.
• Revise and update designs based on feedback or project changes.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including cutting lists, assembly guides, and material takeoffs.
• Coordinate with the production team to resolve any technical issues during manufacturing or installation.
• Maintain organized records of all drawings and documentation for ongoing and completed projects.
