Description:

As an industry-leading manufacturer and a well-known supplier of high-quality industrial fans and blowers in the Canadian market, the company provides sales, stock, local assembly, engineering and after sales solutions to clients all over the Canadian lands.
Location: Head Office – Mississauga. (Remote)
Compensation: 18$-20$ per hour depending on experience.
Employment Type: Part-time.
Placement Date: Immediately.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented Draftsman with a strong background in mechanical engineering, and solid experience in creating precise technical drawings, models, and schematics, contributing to the development of innovative mechanical solutions
Main duties include:
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software based on engineering designs and specifications
- Modify existing drawings as needed, incorporating changes in design and updating as-built documentation
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to clarify technical details and ensure drawings meet project requirements and standards
- Review engineering sketches, drawings, and blueprints to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Generate bill of materials (BOMs) and assist in the preparation of technical documents
- Ensure all drawings adhere to company, industry, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of drawing revisions and document changes
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
- Experience with other CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) is a plus
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, technical standards, and manufacturing processes
- Experience in mechanical or industrial drafting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with project management tools and software
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches, drawings, and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise technical drawings
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
