Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a Draftsperson- Electrical (CASUAL) to join our Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.
The position will be based in Greater Sudbury (Onaping) Ontario.
This is a contract, unionized position.
Work location is not accessible by public transportation.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS
Education: Graduation from a community college in a 3 year Electrical/Electronic Technology Program and/or certificate of qualification as an Electrician and/or acceptable equivalent training or experience.
Knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code and OSHA Reg 854.
Knowledge of construction standards, installations and materials.
Knowledge of design standards and industry practice in creation of drawings. Proficient in AutoCAD. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, MSProject, Outlook & Explorer.
Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive drafting experience with knowledge of Smelter plant and electrical equipment. Have a valid Ontario Vehicle Operating Permit.
Responsibilities:
Prepares preliminary drawings, general arrangement drawings and detail working drawings for engineered electrical systems from general information supplied by Design Engineers, or more Senior Draftsperson.
