Draftsperson - Medium Density

THE OPPORTUNITY

Dennis Family Homes is looking for a Medium Density Draftsperson to join our team in Notting Hill on a full-time basis. Reporting into the Drafting Team Leader, this role will see you producing accurate and precise working drawings for Dennis Family Homes products from contract through to final plans.

Your responsibilities include:

• Responsible for achieving targets aligned with budget forecasts and timelines.
• Adhere to DFH drafting processes, standards, and variation policy.
• Ensure compliance with DFH Customer Service standards (internal and external).
• Produce full sets of working drawings at various stages of the process ie. contract/variation/ final plans.
• Check drawings produced by internal & external drafting team members; and be able to correct the drawings and give clear, accurate and consistent feedback.
• Accurately produce and/or amend construction details as required.
• Apply client variations to working drawings.
• Interpret covenants on title, Building Envelopes, MCP’s, Developer Guidelines and Property information and apply to plans.
• Ensure understanding and compliance in relation to building regulations (NCC/BCA/AS).
• Maintain the integrity of internal workflow systems by entering/uploading all drafting tasks and/or information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communicate proactively with internal team members, including contractors and offshore personnel, and internal stakeholders, including Managers and the Sales team

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

• Associate Diploma in Architectural Drafting or equivalent.
• Previous experience with Medium Density drafting
• Experience using ArchiChad.
• Preferred 2-3 years experience with a volume builder or in a land/residential housing business.
• Ability to manage own workflow without the need for close supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver work performance targets.
• Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels in a manner that represents the values of the organisation.
• Enthusiastic and motivated team player with the ability to problem solve
