Description:
This exciting post working in DREEAM is ideal for a Nurse or AHP with at least 1 year experience in a band 7 post, seeking to further their career. It would be particularly suited for Nurse or AHP who has a specialist interest in the provision and delivery of high-quality, effective, and efficient Education and Research that is under pinned by strong, cutting edge quality improvement and governance processes.
The post holder will lead on the development, implementation and evaluation of education. They will lead on innovative approaches to developing practice, promoting and sharing best practice, will horizon scan new ways of working and delivery of education to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of all education and training programmes in DREEAM. They will provide specialist support and education with the DREEAM based and external faculty regarding the FINE(r) educational governance framework. Ensuring existing and new educational offerings follow the process and are guided through the relevant gateways . The post holder will also support the Medicine Division with delivery of the research agenda by working in collaboration with the Research and Innovation (R&I) team to ensure our people are at the forefront of research and innovation and working with the education teams insures its integration into practice at all levels across the UEC directorate and Medicine Division.
A highly visible strong clinical leader with clinical credibility, who proactively plans, develops implements and evaluates all training and education across the UEC directorate, and externally delivered DREEAM programmes. Demonstrates a positive professional reputation both internally and externally to the organisation.
- Is a positive role model & line manage the Nursing Education & Training Practice Development team within DREEAM. Providing coaching and mentorship to the team to enable them to meet their full potential.
- Works in partnership with the Medicine Division Quality & Safety team ensuring educational and training themes from UEC complaints and incidents are addressed and evidence of improvements are collated and shared.
- Works collaboratively with the educational leads for multi-professional development, education and workforce to support the organisational programmes of training and education.
- Supports and promotes a culture in the UEC directorate and division of “growing our own” from wider workforce.
- Acts as a UEC directorate professional resource, responsible and accountable to provide expert help advice concerning professional development, education and workforce related issues.
- Coaches and supports the teams to develop plans and implement their ideas for service and practice improvement.
