Driver (School Placements)

This is a casual position with varying hours, depending on service delivery, term time only.
Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) is located on a beautifully green and pleasant campus just a few minutes’ walk from Lincoln Cathedral, Castle, and the old Roman city. Our story began in the 1860s as an Anglican teacher training college for women, which makes us one of the oldest Higher Education Institutions in the UK. Since then, we’ve grown, adapted, and modernised to become the thriving university we are today. We’re still experts in teaching and education, but we’ve now got a wider portfolio of exciting degree courses than ever before. We currently offer causes in a wide range of subjects, from Undergraduate Degree level to PhD, and much more in between.
BGU has an opportunity for a number of Drivers to join our Campus Operations team whilst also working closely with the University Placement Office.

The post holders will transport students to and from school placements. Working a split shift (morning and afternoon), timetabled around school start and finish times. Responsibilities include:

• To work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operation of the University.
• To quickly establish positive and professional relationships with staff, students and external partners.
• To keep the vehicle in a roadworthy, clean, and tidy manner always.
• To make yourself available both am and pm during school placements.

Job Types: Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract
Pay: From £11.90 per hour
