Description:
The Driver- (GWA3) Day Shift will be required to perform a variety of job tasks within the Inbound/ Receiving Department at our Brampton Distribution Centre. Some of the key responsibilities for this role are as follows:
Operate all material handling equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality expectations/ standards
MHE includes the Order Picker, Reach, Single and Double-walkies and lift truck
Complete the pre-shift equipment inspection process and immediately report any issues or concerns to your supervisor or TL
Ensure all loads are properly secured to the pallet or within the gaylord before transporting goods throughout the DC
Place cartons onto mesh decks in the racking as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Retrieve cartons from the racking and place onto a pallet as per the SOPs
Place pallets into the various drop zones and P&D locations and complete all systemic transactions
Retrieve empty pallets and full cardboard gaylords and transport as per the SOPs
Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing and other miscellaneous tasks as needed
Communicate with Supervisor or Team Lead, as well as other Drivers, on the radio
Other duties as assigned

Must consistently adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the VF Policy handbook
Be willing and able to work in other departments as needed (Inbound, Processing, Shipping)
Perform housekeeping duties as required while contributing to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Consistently follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
Meet and/or exceed all productivity standards/targets for each activity performed while meeting all quality standards
Must work well with minimal supervision in a team-based environment
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Good verbal communication skills in English required
Ability to read pertinent information in English that is found on computer or RF device screens, vendor cartons, pick tickets or shipping labels
Demonstrated successful track record of working safely
Demonstrated record of excellent attendance and punctuality
Flexibility and team focus when asked to perform other duties as required
Ability to walk/stand all day and bend, lift and push
Ability to work at height within our multi-level pick tower structure
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. periodically throughout his/her shift
Distribution/Warehouse experience preferred
